Partner Organizations

The Brewing Hospitality initiative directly engages with coffee communities through the following partners

ANEI

Our collaboration with ANEI explores indigenous worldviews of relationality with the earth through coffee. ANEI, is from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia — the beating Heart of the World. ANEI’s work highlights traditional ecological knowledge and sustainable farming practices, demonstrating how coffee can serve as a bridge between heritage, environmental stewardship, and economic resilience. By centering indigenous perspectives, ANEI fosters a deeper understanding of how humans can live in balance with the land, offering lessons for sustainability that extend far beyond the coffee fields.

In 2024, ANEI visited Carnegie Mellon University for one week to co-teach classes, engage with students, meet Pittsburgh’s coffee roasting community, and share the spirit of coffee from the heart of the world.
